BIO

Erola Arcalís (b. 1986 Menorca; lives and works in London, UK) is a multidisciplinary artist  working across photography, moving image and text. Arcalís combines images of abstract landscapes and sculptural still life to create fictions around individual and collective memories, re-told in ways beyond a linear temporal narrative. Drawing on mythology and poetry, her practice navigates staged scenes and the chance encounter, historical research and personal experience. Arcalís has exhibited in the Spanish contemporary art institutions Casal Solleric and Centro Cultural Galieo, has shown work with Copperfield Gallery and Peckham24 (London, UK) and most recently with Hauser & Wirth Menorca.
